I voted Golovkin but Gonzalez was very very close to it. Also Fury's shock win over Wlad puts him up there too. Mayweather cannot seriously be considered due to the large black cloud of suspicion hanging over his head with IV gate. In fact in my opinion he should have his license suspended while an investigation is carried out

    Um...

Remember that fight that everyone talked about literally all day long for half a decade between the P4P #1 and P4P #2?

Yes, that one. That fight happened this year.

Hate is a big, strong emotion. And you all think of yourselves as consistent, intelligent, and unbiased fans?

And it was ages ago that Pacquiao was pound for pound number 1 or 2. We also remember Mayweather taking IV's, hiring Ariza & Conte and getting roided to the high heavens.

    Remember this,

Then The Furious One™ proved you wrong?

And you think of yourself as consistent, intelligent, and unbiased fan. :hi::pwned

And let's be honest, if you hated Mayweather like you love him, no way in hell would you rate his accomplishment over Fury's.

So I got a prediction wrong?

OK. Cool story. Will read again.

    '15 Pacquiao >>> '15 Wladimir
    ...and you know it.

    Has to be Floyd

He over came dehydration to survived 12 rounds with PAC. Most fighter wouldn't even go past the death bed before the fight.

Lol, this fanboy is mad that Mayweather is not getting this accolade for beating a past it Pacquiao. The fight was past it's sell by date had Fury not beaten Wlad... It would be #1.

Fury dethroned one of the longest reigning champions in HW history and started off a new era in his weight class, his victory is more significant.

Who's fighting that could possibly trump this? Not Lee vs Saunders. I don't think there's anyone else in those three weeks who's accolades would supersede that of a Mayweather or Fury for this year.
