what the **** does that have to do with anything? Quality of fighter isn't necessarily measured by a championship. But Cotto has never been a real champion.

Let's not forget, Pavlik was an underdog in 2 of his fights, whereas Floyd was the favorite.

Also, Pavlik got up from being down in the 2nd round to come back and beat the lineal champion, the REAL man at 160. Floyd beating Oscar was great and all, but there are arguments that Oscar wasnt really the man at 154 anyways.

Pavlik's fights were exciting, Pavlik's fight with Taylor was one of the greatest middleweight fights I have ever seen and a definite candidate for FOTY. Floyd did very well this year, but the fighter of the year is Kelly Pavlik.

Also, just to add a bit more fuel to the Pavlik-mobile, let's remember that Pavlik KOed all 3 of his opponents and all 3 had never been KOed before.

i agree with Kelly Pavlik being the fighter of the year. His wins were more impressive and he did things not done before in KOing 3 guys who have never been KO'd.

That and all those guys were in their primes and were fighting in their normal weight division. That can't be said for Floyd's opponents.

I never said that. The point is that there are so many "world champions" that even subpar fighters can attain this status. The label is worthless unless the fighter is undisputed or linear.

All you PBF fighter of the year people are smoking some powerful stuff.

Floyd was ****ing favored to win both of his fights this year by large margins. Bookies had him ****ing 2:1 3:1 for.

Pavlik upset huge odds. If you told people before Miranda that he was going to KO Taylor later in the year, you would have been laughed off this forum.
