    Depends on what you go by... Martinez only has 1 win against Pavlik this year and even if he does beat Williams it will probably be pretty close anyways.
    Montiel on the other hand was consistent this year KO'd his 3 opponents including one in his very own turn to unify. 1 more to go by the way.

    Martinez if he beats Paul should get it or PAC if he beats Marg. Toss up. Jean has a solid win over Dawson. We got strong competition that's for sure.

    I went for Martinez but you can't really give it to him just now as he has only had one fight this year. Saying that, it was a good one.

    If Sergio wins, it's him. Otherwise, I'd have to wait for the year to play out. If everybody loses, then probably Montiel.

    The year isn't anywhere near over; particularly as most of the fights get front-loaded and back-loaded with a desert of nothing in between. In terms of the big fights, the year's barely half-way through.

    True but my point was more that Froch shouldn't be listed, he's only fought Kessler and lost.

    the winner of juanma -v- marquez would deserve a mention

    Martinez if he beats PW. Otherwise Montiel is a good shout.

    I dont understand why Pac is leading the pole right now.
    He has only fought Clottey who was coming off a loss and now Margarito who is coming off a long layoff after receiving the beating of his life.

    Why in GODS name is Froch there. All hes done is Lose to kessler. In his only fight this year.
