I need some more fighter that has- -A boxer puncher style -Two fisted puncher -Snappy/hard enough power -(Optional)a southpaw Anyone had some fighter with the characteristics, recommended for me to watch?
Alexis Arguello, although doesn’t tick the southpaw box. Marvin Hagler of course. (A sometimes southpaw) Roberto Duran, starting with DeJesus III (again, not a lefty). Michael Moorer for a pure southpaw.
Gerry Penalosa. Excellent defensive fighter, despite being predominantly front foot. Hits hard enough to get their respect, but he'd be my pick for the best southpaw technical fighter. His style almost reminds me of Canelo. Other guys, you might like would be Shoji Oguma, Jiro Watanabe, Gabriel Bernal and Antoine Montero. All southpaws with respectable power, and very fun styles. Montero and Bernal have especially fun styles.
On the topic of Penalosa, Hiroshi Kawashima also fits the qualities of this list. Very fun southpaw style to watch imo. Masamori Tokuyama is one I've been watching recently. He had a very snappy center ring style although he wasn't a puncher.
Yuri Arbachakov Veeraphol Sahaprom Sot Chitalada Yoko Gushiken (southpaw) Jiro Watanabe (southpaw) Orzubek Nazarov (southpaw)
Hozumi Hasegawa also perfectly fits the qualities of the list, especially during his Bantam title reign.
Tim Austin and Antonio Tarver were first two to come up to mind. Not sure if that's indeed what You were looking for.
Outside of their fights with Penalosa, I've having seen anyyhing from them. I'll be sure to keep my eye out.
I remember the Espino bout being an absolute showcase for Kawashima. I scored it a few years back. Real quality operator he was:
Mark Too Sharp Johnson. Sharp puncher, slick, could fight on the outside and could also scrap on the inside. Has a good group of very watchable fights. Southpaw as well. Great skills but also determined and a fighter's fighter. This content is protected
Michael Nunn is a guy that fits this narrative. He was a tall southpaw that could put your lights out with either hand or outbox you. His career went sideways and he did serious prison time that wrecked what likely would have been a hall of fame career. He beat Frank Tate, Juan Roldan, Sumbu Kalambay, Iran Barkley, Marlon Starling and Donald Curry back to back before losing his title to James Toney. Think about that for a second. That that is seven brutally tough opponents in a row. You simply don't see that moxy very often.
Cornelius "Boza"Edwards. Fits your requirements to a tee. And he was a southpaw. And always in good/great fights!
