    Technically, Wig is correct.

    There was no year ZERO. The first year in the Christian calendar is 1 A.D.

    So, the first decade (first 10 years) consists of the years below:

    1. 1
    2. 2
    3. 3
    4. 4
    5. 5
    6. 6
    7. 7
    8. 8
    9. 9
    10. 10

    But for convenience purposes, society chooses to name decades as if it started with zero, of which I have no problem with.
