gabe rosado watching gigi batter his face and body and rosado not giving up proves to me that he earns his place as the heartiest and toughest fighter in the world. the guy got beat down. he had two cuts over one eye and one of the cuts was caused by a jab(that's real power). but the guy didn't stop fighting. i just wished that gabe rosado had the ability to adjust to his opponent's style, because he seems to fall for the same traps his opponents set for him over and over again. he has good skills nonetheless, if he was smarter and knew how to work the ring like b-hop or floyd, he'd be a top fighter. the guy has the heart of a classic boxer though
All Champions who go through so much to get to that level, you doubt it. Try getting Fat Dan to just look like a boxer & show us his six pack at flyweight
I put Khan as having one the P4P worst chins in another thread but really the guy has tremendous heart to continue fighting as he does. Prescott flattened him and he was still trying to get up. Against Garcia, he still wanted to fight even though he was on ice skates. Add in Bradley and JMM too.
yeah, the thing with Provodnikov is that he is absolutely bonkers. Same goes for Rios. Heart isn't ever a question for them really. They just love getting hit.
So you guys only define heart as persistence shown while take a beating? To me its more then that. Thats one quality for sure, that you won't quit under pressure. But heart should equally be displayed in success via ferociousness. Heart should also be displayed in how you treat people outside the ring and how you conduct your life. Those things considered 3 fighters I consider with the top level heart in the the sport today include (obviously were only talking mainstream fighters, even though the majority of fighters never make it to this upper echeleon, nonetheless may posess the heart of a champion) Tim Bradley Marcos Maidana Danny Jacobs
Heart also in training & preparing for the fight. If you have a weak heart you will slack in training...
Dustin Nichols. Like Larry Merchant used to say, if he weighs 450 pounds, his heart weighs about 449.
Gabe is a definite badass but sadly very unlucky. Unfortunately he caught a lot of bad breaks in his career, the Angulo match came too soon in his career he was like 22, the Charlo match he'd drained himself back down to JMW and he hadn't fought there in years. The Quillin stoppage was bull****. He beat Love when he was doped up and was robbed, close fight with Ennis and lost to Guerrero when he was a streaking undefeated prospect.
