Thomas Hearns - JohnThomas1 Muhammad Ali - Groove Jersey Joe Walcott - SuzieQ49 Carlos Monzon - Red Cobra Marvin Hagler - RedRooster Ike Williams - myself? And so on...
I might ease Dop in ahead of myself on Hearns. I questioned Hearns greatness at 160 and Dop was a bit more impressed than i. Stonehands - Roberto Duran is a must. Redrooster - Terry Norris Redrooster - Fletcher/Davison/Green/Camacho etc
I think C.M.Clay II has a shot at that one. Perhaps we should have a show-off between them.... who had Ali winning the first fight with Frazier by a wider margin?
Hm. Not sure, but I still give it to Groove, I think half the time C. M. Clay II just jokes with us, but Groove means it.
Ali lost to Frazier in their first fight. I have no problem with the verdict because i thought Frazier won. I don't think Ali could have fought any better at that time. BTW Manassa thanks for the compliment
Thanx for the shutout. You defintley used to be "marvin haglers" fan like 2 years ago, but you became more sophisticated and mature and kind of changed your views a bit. I would say Ike Williams for sure now. Also Rocky Marciano- MarcianoFrazier Vitali Klitschko- Dr. Z/Mendoza Pernell Whitaker- Sweet Pea Sugar Ray Leonard- Robbi
Robbi actually used to dislike Leonard, and isn't as big a fan of him as he is of guys like Whitaker, DLH, Holmes, Marquez, etc.
I still can't believe they gave that 3rd fight to Casamayor against Corrales. Even a ruined version of corrales still clearly won that rubber match. Corrales in his prime is the better fighter. although casamayor back in the early 2000's in his prime was a pretty dangerous fighter. Those first 2 casamayor-corrales bouts were classics, both were in their prime and hungry.
