The fight was about even, or Margs was ahead, when the stoppage came. Cotto dominated first 5-6 rounds, then lost every round until stoppage. That's not what this thread is after you ****ing twat
You don't think coming back from 6 rounds down to stop your opponent in the 11th round counts as coming from behind? You got idiots on here using JMM vs pacquiao as an example Marquez was only down by 1 point going into the 6th round and had already dropped his opponent once.
A unknown fact, RJJ fought Castro in his 16th or 17th pro fight, back when he was green and still upcoming, and dominated to win a unanimous decision. RJJ resume is full of such people, actually.
he was still behind genius. the ts didnt specify by how much. pacquiao had the momentum and he probably would have stopped marquez. now, politely apologize.
**** no I am not apoligizing. If Cotto Margo doesn't count then JMM vs pac sure as **** doesn't. The thread also didn't specify how many rounds it took the opponent to come back. Being down 6 rounds in lopsided fashion and pulling off the win in the 11th is more of a comback then sparking a guy in the 6th when you are only down by 1 point and the fight has been competitive througout.
Toney vs Jirov is an under-rated classic for this. Roach tells Toney 'YOU HAVE TO PUT THIS GUY ON HIS ASS JAMES' Toney goes and knocks him out.
Toney was very comfortably ahead on the score cards leading into that round. 117-109, 116-110 and 117-109
those fights are very different and shouldnt be compared. but technically, u do have a point. i accept your apology.
yes sir go to boxrec. You are correct about Roach telling him to put Jirov on his ass but at the end of the day the fight was much wider than a lot of ringside observers thought. it was one of those fights kind of like JMM vs barrera where it was a very good competitive fight but the scoring was lopsided because almost all the rounds were close and competitive but the same guy was winning all of them.
By your criteria Jones vs Tarver 2 should be on the list. Jones had won the first round before tarver came from behind to KO him in the 2nd.
Ray Mercer vs Francesco Damiani. Mike Tyson vs Frans Botha Shannon Briggs vs Sergei Lyakhovich All one punch turnarounds.
your talking aobut Toney vs Michael Nunn ibf middleweight title, vicious left hook that was really a left cross because he switched his feet right before he threw the punch. beautiful. Ebo Elder vs Courtney Burton is a good one as well
