A guy who I think had a good chin when he cared, but went down a bit, was Bert Cooper. You look at some of the vicious bombs he took from Ray Mercer, only going down in the first from a picture perfect right. I have a hard time saying Bert Cooper had a bad chin. Often times, he was merely punched to a standstill... and then at point he just didn't seem to care anymore.
Trinidad always had a perfectly good chin, got some unfair flak for getting wobble very understandably.
Tyson Fury is a ****ing animal like Ali was You can hit him with your best shots and drop him but you won't put him out. Fury always gets back up
It pains me to say it but all any casual seems to know about Pat Cowdell is the Azumah Nelson blast out. Even some people who know about Boxing quote that and the first Najib Daho fight. For most of his career Pat was known as brick chinned. Before Nelson the last guy to knock Pat out was a lad called Dave Whelan from Coventry and that was in 1969 !
I've heard some casuals say **** like "Tyson could dish it out but he couldn't take it". Not referring to him quitting but to his punch resistance.
His biggest problem is his gas tank. He was blowing in round 11 against Fury and got rocked by the weakest left hook i've ever seen. Then the referee saved him & took a point because he couldn't defend himself turning his back LOL.
