fighters dying relatively young

    Although a bit off topic, i read somewhere that Ali always had parkinsons even from a young age, its just that the symptoms became more apparent as he got older.

    Although boxing didnt exactly help, Ali would always have ended up with Parkinsons even if he'd never boxed.

    Cant remember where i read that, maybe the book by Thomas Hauser?

    I doubt it. Ali took a lot of shots to the back of the head which can cause Parkinson's. The simplest path makes the most sense unless proven otherwise. And he showed symptoms in his late thirties. Hereditary Parkinson's usually doesn't manifest for another 15 or 20 years.
