Any examples of this, other than Eddie Mustafa Muhammad? I'd also be interested in instances where fighters eventually made weight after initially coming in over, or even well-known examples where fighters had to sweat off a lot of weight the morning of their same day weigh-ins.
Matthew Saad Muhammad came in heavy against Dwight Braxton in their first fight. Came in heavy and ran on the board walk to get to 175 lbs. His team claimed he weighed 181 the morning of the weigh in. I think he had to weigh in twice before making 175.
Chacon had a brutal time getting down to 126 for the first fight but he actually ended up overdoing it and came in at 124.5. https://www.si.com/vault/1975/06/30/616675/chacon-was-from-hunger
Hagler was a few ounces over against Minter, and thus Boom Boom made Marvin strip naked.... That work out well for Alan!
