Ali/Louis. Mayweather/Pacquaio (They didn't fight in their primes and I think if it happened in 09'/10' it would have been like tossin' a coin. Though I can see Floyd edging a trilogy basing on his famous adjustments and from the simple fact counterpunchers generally evolve reactin' better on rematches? I don't really know lmao). Lewis/Holmes. Barrera/Morales (Ufficially Barrera obv won the trilogy but the third match was really, really close by an hair that I wouldn't be mad if it was scored as a draw). Any other similar examples?
Was reflectin' lately about Cotto and Mosley. Their match imo was more appropriate to be scored as a draw and while Cotto may not have a scalp as good as prime De La Hoya, their resume deepness is similar. Plus in an hypothetical list I tend to rank lower fighters who get busted for Peds. I also wondered how Cotto would have reacted to Oscar and what gameplan him and Shane would choose towards Trinidad... I'm also conflicted sometimes towards Monzon and Hagler but eh, lately I'm incline to rank Monzon higher p4p despite h2h Hagler winning being everything but impossible. Thinkin' about my ranking of the four kings I always have Duran first p4p because the weight climbin', Montreal ecc. but I can't get my head on Hagler and Leonard. Would have Leonard lost if not for the gloves choice and clear ring size advantage? Which lost more glamour when they met? They were both past it and that fight isn't that easy to score so I think in their prime a fight would have been always competitive, no matter what.
I kinda feel like in most cases I can put someone over another when it comes to both types of matchups.
