when people say Wlad got old, were not using it as an excuse its just the reality of the situation...once you hit that 38-40 age mark, you start slowing down happend to Ali with Holmes and Berbick it happens with Wlad, starting with Jennings and culminating with Fury
I've been saying it all week, Wlad is old. But I still expected him to win. I gave Fury a decent chance of the upset. And plenty of people here said Fury had NO CHANCE regardless of whether Wlad is old or not. Those people need to give Fury credit.
What? Jennings hid for 12 rounds behind his double defense and tried to survive. Deal with it, Fury is an awesome boxer. No one beats him in HW.
Agree "Father time is undefeated" as they say But Vitali never did deplete from age; he dominator right up to the end
Wladimir is old, but he was made to look old because Fury kept moving. That's what you got to do, you got to move and time, and nobody was able to do that apart from Fury. I still think Wladimir would beat most heavyweights, but now you got young guys like Fury and Joshua. Wilder will lose to both of those and Wladimir.
He is at an advanced age for an elite athlete but it's not a good enough excuse for allowing a clown like Fury to take his belts on a decision. I would not want to bow out with that stain. I hope he doesn't.
and people still think Floyd will make a comeback. He didn't fight Berto or 2015 Pac because he felt young & strong. his legs went a long time ago.
Yes they do, but also they have heart or they dont!!! Wlad has 0 heart, what did old Lennox do vs Vitali gave his all and won, Wlad ashamed himself at least go for it terrible 0 heart.
Floyd was declining, but you can't compare Floyd to Wladimir.. On a technical level, Floyd's a few levels above Wladimir. I don't think some people realise just how good Floyd actually was, but in years to come he'll go higher and higher on peoples all time list, a bit like Larry Holmes did.
38 is the "old man" age in boxing at elite level. Tyson Ali Holmes Lewis All showed sharp declines at that age
Don't get me wrong. I agree wholeheartedly. Floyd actually could have been the best ever if he took on all the challenges available to him at the right time. at the end of it he was his own worst enemy.
