Yep and by then it would've been 'Leonard is shot'. Imagine after he loses to Norris, and later, Camacho  Man, the Internet would've never forgiven Ray ;-)

It will be interesting to see how the transitions from amateur to pro transpire after the rule changes taking away headguards and scoring on a ten point must system. it'll probably take a few years to really see the effects but its certainly going to benefit pressure and body punchers in the amateurs.

Good shake up in many respects although I think losing the headguards could be worrying if they are fighting every other week, are kids or are novices.

I'm guessing it'll be seniors, though hopefully the rules will still be in effect for the novices and kids and whatnot in spite of the headguard, in ten years we could be seeing a completely fresh bunch of kids at the Olympics who could conceivably become genuine forces as a pro'.

Let's hope they can reign in that circus by the time they get there :D

In all seriousness, it's very encouraging IMO.

yeah I'm loving it too, the current system is too imbalanced to a certain style that the boxers get so used to it when they turn pro they find it harder to adapt to different styles. I've seen a lot of good lads at amateur level quit or let it get to them who would have excelled with the rule changes.

I think it's a mental thing I read on Rosstraining the reason fighters go up in weight is because they don't work as hard as they did when they were younger .Fighters from the older era I think defintley worked harder and took more punishment because they boxed alot more rounds overall .Mayweather for example says he's the best fighter that ever lived ( Hard to back that one up how he'd do in that era )
and he says he hasn't took any punishment .Now look at Archie Moore for example .Boxed nearly 1500 rounds and got 7 ko's tko's against him .Mayweather says about Pacquiao has he been knocked out before ? I think they were just probably more hungrier and worked harder .Mayweather's boxed just over 300 rounds and not took alot of punishment .Archie Moore nearly 1500 rounds and been knocked out 7 times plus the gloves probably lighter .Still a hard decision to make though man cause that punishment can't be good for the brain .
