I'm not sure if this is a great example since I don't follow the hype that well. Morales and Barrera seemed to both be good at handling trash talk. They put on great performances against each other. Barrera was also able to handle Hamed's talk.

DLH handled extreme trash talk from Vargas, Mayorga, and Mayweather and performed well.

Jose Luis Castillo really got to Floyd with the dirty tactics in both fights. He was visibly frustrated. Rounds 5-7 of the second fight is a good example.

Actually, I think Jose Luis Castillo fits well here. The dude got in the ring and did his thing an didn't give a **** about what the other fighter (or the ref) did or said.

  6. Haye got into both their heads with the decapitation t-shirt. They took much offense, so I don't think they're a good example.

  10. Pacquiao.

Everytime Margarito smiled, Pac pounded him.

When Margarito smiled at Cotto, fear filled the boricua's eyes.

It seems that you didn't. :patsch

    You said this:

You referred to his in-ring losses, saying he had been beaten twice in the ring but never broken.

Sorry, but quitting on your stool is, by anyone's standards, being broken, both mentally and physically.

Mayorga? Maybe Toney, but not Mayorga. Mayweather would be rolling around on the ground laughing at Mayorga's outlandish claims about winning or knocking him out.

Julio Cesar Chavez.......the three opponents who most tried to get under Chavez' skin and berate him, ended up recieving the the worst beatdowns of their boxing career........
....and I'm talking about Edwin Rosario, Hector Camacho, and Greg Haugen.

The goal of course was to get under his skin and throw Chavez off his gameplan, but to the contrary....it worked to the contrary, Chavez just climbed that ring more focused and more ferocious.:yep
