Better yet put Joey Maxim as Robinson's kryptonite.

Salvador Sanchez for Danny Lopez. Here's this kid that is barely known, and he's in the ring with one of the hardest banging featherweigths of all time, and the expression on his face never changed. He looked like a guy ordering a ****ing pizza! And boxed poor Danny's ears off. Danny did a bit better in the rematch, but he still got his ass handed to him.

Mayorga - Forrest has to be one of the best examples of this.

There is no logical reason why he should win that fight. Well, not on a pure boxing level.

Pure boxing was taken out of the equation in the first fight as Forrest fought Mayorga's fight and paid for it.

Seems people are confused. Someone being "kryptonite" for someone else would be to say they are an underdog who stylistically, or for whatever reason, is able to beat the favourite (more than once).

A favourite beating up an underdog does not make them kryptonite.

That's what I was getting at but it's all in fun. The scope was simply widened.
