TaylorSwift handle was brutal and uncompromising. The breakdown of Tyson's title opposition was unforgettable. :rofl
I don't really think Lewis ducked other fighters. Maybe Byrd. Instead of fighting Byrd, he relinquished the IBF belt and fought Tyson. Maybe Wlad Klitschko. In 2001 and 2002, it could have been done. Maybe John Ruiz. Instead, he fought Michael Grant. No way. Bowe ducked Lewis. Foreman didn't want any risky fight in his second career, with the possible exception of Holyfield in 1991. Lewis didn't duck Jones. So, maybe just Byrd and W. Klitschko, but no one else.
It is true that Lewis fought a 38 year old, war damaged, Evander Holyfield. He also fought Tyson, 10 years after his prime. Tua was 25 pounds above his best weight. However, he beat Mercer, Morrison, Golota, Briggs, V. Klitschko, Ruddock. All in all, Lewis is my #6 heavyweight of all time.
Pretty sure Holy was 36 when he fought Lewis. Crazy that Holy was the favourite in that fight as well
