Recently Joe Calzaghe has felt the need to express his concerns that boxing is a dying sport:

"There is too much politics in boxing, too many belts and too many champions, which dilutes real champions like myself," he said. "There are four world champions in each division and it's bad because there are no stars any more. It's a big problem."

The key point being "there are no stars any more". Any real boxing fan can see the reason why there are no stars anymore. Because of fighters like Joe Calzaghe.

Guys like Calzaghe do kill the sport - guys who don't chase fights with prime superstars but make dull, easy hometown defences for the vast majority of their careers. That does damage the sport because huge fights that could have been made never were.

The opposite. I honestly think this ****ing spastic is trying to say that there are no stars anymore because Calzaghe has beaten them all and 'cleaned house'!:patsch I have experience of reading this guy's posts, and although you may think this is the biggest pile of dog**** you've ever read, for him this is just the norm. The guy is a horrendously bad joke.

G'day mate, you might actually have an idea here.

Lets just imagine a world without Joe Calzaghe for a moment...

In a world without Joe Calzaghe, Jeff Lacy never got Lacy'd. Jeff went on to defend his title 3 times, KOing the likes of Pascal, Manfredo and Beyer. The undeafeted Kelly Pavlik is moving up in weight to face the undefeated Lacy.

Bernard Hopkins is the Ring light heavyweight champion. He has not lost since he moved from middleweight and has dismantled Tarver, Johnson and has a fight coming up with Roy Jones. Roy Jones has apparently rolled back the years, and not lost in years, showing flashes of his old self.

There are two superfights coming up in this world without Calzaghe:

    The undefeated young lions:
    Pavlik vs Lacy

And two legends who have rolled back the years and looked invincible of late:
    Hopkins vs Jones

Pavlik beats Lacy and Hopkins defeats Jones.

Next there is a superfight, on of the biggest of all time it easily surpasses 1million PPV buys in this world as Joe Calzaghe doesn't exists and didn't make Lacy (who Pavlik just beat) look bad and Hopkin look old:

Hopkins vs Pavlik... we know what happens here...
Hopkins schools Pavlik, however because of the way events unfolded due to Joe Calzaghe's non-existance Hopkins becomes P4P number one and GOAT or something ridiculous.

But all this is ok now, because boxing is not dying. Without Joe Calzaghe there are greater PPV numbers being achieved in America and there are some real super-stars like Hopkins, Lacy, Pavlik and Roy Jones. Mikkel Kessler (the true P4P number one at this time in the world without Calzaghe) has not even been heard of. Why? Because unlike Joe Calzaghe these legends and stars don't care about good fights, against real talents and just fight amongst themselves making money and achieving immense fame.

Joe Calzaghe is the reason there are no stars left in the sport.
Joe Calzaghe has exposed and outclassed all of America's would be legends.
Joe Calzaghe has shattered the disillusion of the American public which existed for so long.

If Joe Calzaghe had existed in the 70s or 80 Hagler, Leonard, Duran and Tyson would have all been exposed and would be practically unheard/forgotten by the general public and non-hardcore boxing fans.

Joe Calzaghe with his ridiculously brilliant boxing abilities is destroying the sport, for America at least.

Guys like Manny Pacquiao and Oscar de la Hoya are killing boxing, hear me out on this.

Pac vs DLH, biggest fight of the year, watched by 1.2million people on PPV and loads more on streams.

    Complete joke of a fight.

Whats the casual fan or someone looking to start watching boxing or someone who doesnt know anything about boxing but has watched that as their first fight going to think ? I'll tell you what, I watched the fight with a few mates who had only seen a couple of fights before (Eubank and Benn).

Not knowing anything about either fighter, I was quizzed about each of them. "Yeah ones the most well known, the other ones one of the best fighters. Its more a spectacle than a real fight" I said.

Its annoying to find out that even people who dont follow/like/know boxing ask the question

"SO HOW COME THE BEST DONT FIGHT THE BEST ?"

DLH has ruined boxing over the last few years. The 2 biggest fights ever against Mayweather and Pac, one of them was sleepworthy and the other one was a joke. The biggest exposure boxings ever had and we've shown them jokes. Pac is just as bad. Could have fought someone in his own division, could have fought Marquez or anyone else in the stacked 135 division, nope he saw the dollar signs and went after a gimmick. **** me if he really wanted to move 147 he should have fought a real 147 fighter and not DLH the circus act.

    Boxers **** me off.

Thing is, his act is old as hell, and people are tired of it.
