In fairness it was as easy to predict as Calzaghe outclassing Hopkins over twelves rounds.

Are you going to dispute that Hopkins would be P4P number one, Pavlik, Jones and Lacy still top 10 or not?

Unfortunately you only seem interested in slinging insults all over the place.

The most violently ******ed individual I've ever encountered.

For some bizarre, unbelievable, inexplicable reason this sorry excuse for a poster is actually thought of by fellow Calzaghe fans to be some sort of comic genius.

I seriously believe the mods have a serious case to ban this ****wit and Pugilist, all they ever post is pathetic "joke" threads about how amazing Calzaghe is and how **** America is, they offer absolutely nothing to this site as fans of boxing, absolutely nothing.

The same old routine has become unacceptable. Get them to ****. Ban.

You do not seek serious debate, so you do not deserve it. Troll.

With that being said, I don't think anyone can deny the Marciano evolution to Joe Calzaghe avatar was the stuff of genuius

I like having him around, things can get pretty heated here and he is a comedy character 4 sure!

Comic?! How many times can you spend time reading the same old joke before it becomes ****ing pathetic - especially considering it was never funny in the first place. If you think this sort of bile is worthwhile then fair enough, I think the guy is a waste of a username, a ****ing moron of the very highest calibre.

I've not seen him posting much recently to be fair, but back in the day he was quite innovative coming up with the aforementioned Marciano evolution to Calzaghe avatar and various graphs that 'proved' Calzaghes greatness....

However, to each's own. I do find him amusing, but everyones entitled to their own opinion.

If Hopkins beat Pavlik, after Pavlik had beaten Lacy, you know Hopkins would now be the P4P number one. It is pretty much a fact.

(I will continue (competently) trying to debate boxing with you until you cease from trying to dillute the boxing content in this thread)

Yawn. You're a **** poster that no-one respects, so this thread will fail as do all of yours, as they never seek serious debate so that's why they never develop into any. I hope the one or two posts of encouragement you have got so far from Beatboxer are sufficient for you to have had your fix of validation so now you can log off again safe in the knowledge that you are a hilarious legend, and so leaving this forum free for serious fans to discuss boxing.

    :hi:

He's bringing fights and discussions in the boxing community, how is that killing boxing?

Also, I never understood all this "Boxing is dead!" talk going on, I've been hearing it since 2001 and so far I don't see it with all the megafights we have had since then.

Lewis was about to retire people screamed boxing is dead and the same for Tyson, Holyfield, RJJ, Bowe and now DLH. Boxing moves on as proven countless times.

Next year we could conceivably have:

    - Pac v Hatton at Wembley in front of 80-90,000
    - Pac v Mayweather in the biggest fight for over 15 years
    - Haye v Klitschko at a stadium in England or Germany

And many other great fights like Margo-Williams II, JMM-J Diaz, Darchinyan-Donaire, Abraham-Pavlik, Kessler-Froch, Calzaghe-Dawson etc.

    Dying?

People will watch Mayweather, De La Hoya and Tyson.

Boxing's populatity on a wider scale isn't about boxing at all and never has been at any point in history. Fights involving an ancient Hagler were a bit of a farce like Calzaghe vs Jones.

Currently there is a downswing of charismatic celebrity figures in boxing, sooner or later another bunch will come along in America and there will be more huge numbers. In the UK things are going pretty well with famous people like Hatton and Khan about.
