I think After Tyson lost to Lewis you saw a dramatic change in chin. Just look at the Danny Williams fight.:good

Yeh i have read in interviews where Hamsho was saying that he was letting Marvin hit him with his best shots to show that he can take it all, in the 1st fight.
Wasnt the 2nd fight supposed to be full of dirty tactics by both?
Also did anyone else take Hamsho out easy besides hagler?
Cos i thought Hamsho only lost to one other person besides hagler when he was in that stage of his career?

Hey do you think that Jeff was affected mentally by the first fight.
He gave a spirited effort then gets a draw.
Do you think that draw took abit from his mental side, hunger, etc away from him?

Let's say Joe Frazier who after taking a beating could not hold up to George Foreman's blows.

And I will add the all time great Roberto Duran who nearly beat an in prime Hagler at 4 times his natural fighting weight. He took tremendous blows in that fight. Then could not stand up to the bombs Hearns threw at him. Really an iron clad jaw with a momentary lapse even despite his age at the time.

    Two things take place.
    1. Mileage - The more punches you take eventually will catch up to you and you will lose your ability to soak up punishment.
2.Age- the older we get the less physical punishment are bodies are able to withstand and that includes taking punches.
You think a 60 Ray Leonard could take the same shots he took when he was twenty years old?
So if 10 being the highest level of taking punches no matter what a fighter does it will eventually decrease with age automatically.
So if a boxer had a 10 at age 20 by age say 35 its gone down to say a 6/7.
By age 40 it goes down more and so on.

I don't think his chin was gone just his passion for boxing.

Leonard's chin was completely gone when he fought Camacho.
