What fighters have made a fan out of you? When I heard about Barrera beating Naz I was a fan for a life. When I saw Marquez beat Pac Man I was also a fan of his for life, but I wanted him to die in the Barrera match. :bbb What fighters made fans out of you and in what fight?
Katsidis v Earl and as much as you want Marquez to have beaten Pacquiao it never happened . It was(correctly imo) scored a draw and will always be down as a draw .
Kessler vs. Andrade. Doesn't fall apart under the pressure, continue's firing like hell at the guy until the last bell and in doing so, showing me his tremendous skill level for his style.
I really enjoyed Andrade's remarks at the end of the fight about how he is a "time collector" and that it is a "wonderful time to collect". Just seemed very humble in defeat. He came to fight knowing that he was a live underdog and never gave up and didn't look for a soft spot on the canvas. Complete respect for the guy after that fight.
I agree. Andrade seemed like a wonderful person and damn does that guy have a chin/heart combinaton. He won't be matched with guys that he has a clear advantage over(guys who falter under pressure), but he could still be a player if he improves, he has the workrate, chin and power factor down, if he could sharpen up some skills and develop some form of defence...
I always liked Joe Frazier, but when i watched his fights with Big George it took Smokin Joe from "he was pretty badass", to whenever i talk boxing hes one of the first 5 names that come to mind...(pernell, hagler, mosley, tyson frazier my all time favorites)
Pac Vs Ledwaba I Was Flipping Through The Channels, And Just Happen To Stop On H.b.o. It Was The De La Hoya Vs Castillejo Undercard. Then I Hear Them Talking About A Late Sub, With Frosted Tips, And It's None Other Then Manny " Pacman " Pacquiao!
Yep, even in getting dominated he developed himself as more than a "Kessler opponent". He's a guy I'll make an effort to watch again.
He'd dispose of Jermain Taylor pretty easily. When JT moves up to 168, unless he retires after Pavlik embarasses him brutally, I seriously doubt he'll take anything other than a blown up LMW as his first SMW tune up/recovery bout. Too bad for Librado, easy night for him otherwise. Did you notice his underrated speed also? He's not fast, but he's also not a turtle.
