El Terible in the 2nd Barrera fight. I still say he kicked Marco's ass with 1 eye!

Well, for people my age, Ali was huge - he really drew alot of us into boxing.

But the fight that REALLY hooked me for life, I think, was Leonard-Hearns I. Before that I was more of a casual fan - after that, an utter diehard.

I gained a lot of respect for Oscar after the 1st Mosley fight. I lost some of it when he had his guard up so much against Floyd and threw all those meaningless pitter patter flurries though.

Did you lose that respect after Morales refused to shake Barrera's hand after their trilogy?

Salvador Sanchez when he defeated "Little Red" Lopez and Wilfredo Gomez
Roberto Duran when he fought SRL

Of course Ali is beyond arguement . . . the first fighter I have idolized since the first time I've learned to watch boxing. :yep

Present day . . . Mosley (since he fought DLH)

Cotto; Pavlik; Katsidis; are the latest

Edison Miranda in the Green fight. I loved the way he ran across the ring to try to KO Green before the Bell.

Glenn Johnson against Roy Jones. I have nothing against Roy, but the way Manny Steward was criticizing Johnson for fighting at such a high pace in the beginning of the fight and calling him amateurish had me hoping for a Johnson win. The KO was sweet.

I was a big Hopkins fan already, but when he defeated Trinidad he became my favorite.

I became a fan of Andrade after watching him lose to Kessler.

And I did not like Zab much (too arrogant and cocky) but I think I gained some respect for him after his loss to Cotto.

The classic, defining Leonard-Duran, fight (when both were at proper weight and healthy) was in Montreal.

Along with the thrilla in Manilla, my favourite fight alltime.

lamon brewster-wlad 1 lamon showed so much heart and will to stay up and keep fighting after getting hit shot after shot I honestly believe no one could have knocked him out that night after the fight when he said he had to kill me to beat me and he proved that he also went on to say that wlad hit me with everything he got and i didnt go anywhere but when I started throwing he couldnt take it my favorite fight to this day

After watching Bhop get body slammed by echols then belting him from pillar to post with an injuried shoulder made me an instant fan.
