I'm not so sure, at least three posters on here think Mayweather would kick his butt and not break a sweat lol.

Agreed! That guy will simply not accept Leonard beat Hagler, or even that it was a close fight!

In classic? That's disappointing. Be sure not to read their posts moving forward that's for sure LOL

Yes in classic. To be fair at least one of them is a decent poster, as long as we don't discuss SSR and/or Mayweather!

Always thought Kid Gavilan was slightly overrated, not that it makes him any less great though.

Never seen Benny Leonard referred to as overrated (I stand to be corrected). Then again that may just be because he is rarely mentioned at all...

I think Duran is overrated in the sense that he's routinely rated above Pacquiao and Mayweather. All sorts of passes need to be given to Duran in order for that to happen and I think he'll end up behind them on most lists after some more time has passed.

I've seen him called overrated a lot. His resume is limited compared to most ATGs.

Harold Brazier. In fact I’d say he’s quite underrated. No he never won a world title but the guy was a big part of the fabric of his division in the 80s.

Considering his opposition? If thats your angle then thats not going to work. The same argument can be made about Tyson only Tyson only fought in Heavy.

Many perennial contenders and short term champs. They fly under the radar because they get little attention, aren't overhyped and aren't at the top of the mountain so people don't feel the need to bring them down. Guys like (some get a little outside my criteria) Marcos Villasana, Mario Martinez, Randy Shields, Pete Ranzany, Albert Davila, Lupe Pintor, Limon/Navarrete/Boza/Chacon, Rocky Lockridge, Marvin Johnson, Yaqui Lopez, Juan Meza, Mustafa Hamsho......

Have a look at that group of hard working grinding fighters and that's just around the late 70's early 80's. . Some very good fighters among them and plenty of them you could label underrated.

No, it can’t. Straweight has the least depth of any division. Heavyweight is one of the deepest. It’s apples and oranges.
