who is your fighter of each decade?
if there are 2 or 3 outstanding candidates you can only choose one

    20s- harry greb
    30s- henry armstrong
    40s- Joe Louis
    50s- SRR
    60s-Ali
    70s- Duran
    80s- SRL
    90s- RJJ
    2000s- floyd Maymeather

    Rough list

    20's-Harry Greb
    30's-Henry Armstrong
    40's-Ray Robinson
    50's-Ray Robinson
    60's-Emile Griffith
    70's-Roberto Duran
    80's-Ray Leonard
    90's-Pernell Whitaker

2000's will in the end probably be Pacquiao, although Hopkins and Mayweather are close.

i had a tough time choosing between the brown bomber and willie pep for the 40s
and ray leonard and larry holmes for the 80s and i tried not to choose one fighter for two decades like sugar ray for the 40s and 50s

I think Robinson is pretty secure for the 40's, one loss in the decade when he was outweighed by 16lbs to a fellow ATG in LaMotta, 4 wins over LaMotta, and wins over Kid Gavilan, Fritzie Zivic, Sammy Angott, Tommy Bell, Armstrong, Georgie Abrams, etc. Plus it's prime Ray Robinson. As great as Louis and Pep were in the decade, they can't touch that.

50's is probably the hardest decade to determine, I went with Robinson again, but if you aren't doing one fighter in 2 decades then I would guess Marciano.

The 50's should probably be Archie Moore actually. I don't know why I forgot about him when I made that original list.

2000s: Hopkins (Glen Johnson - KO, Tito - KO, DLH - KO, Tarver - shutout, Winky - UD, Pavlik - Shutout, MW, LHW crowns, 21 titles defenses, all 4 sanctioning titles, P4P#1 status reached twice, ATG performances 40+, only close/debated losses, A++ overall skill level. What he did is so far ahead of Maywather and Pacquiao that these guys has to face each other then get wins vs. top elite fighters like Mosley, Williams, Cotto and do some unification.
