Thats $2million on purses. Add in a few other bits and pieces your looking at $2,500,000 in total for GBP. HBO pick up the majority of the advertising costs. If Goldenboy pick 50% of the PPV revenue which I think is the norm they only need to sell 40,000 ppvs to make a profit. You would expect this PPV to do 200,000 buys at a minimum.

After tax and paying his trainer, manager and so on Diaz will end up with $200,000 at best.

Let me tell you something mate, What is revealed is not always what someone is getting, Look at the purse bids recently for our big British fights, Let me tell you, Certain fighters are getting more than is in them purse bids!! Diaz is getting more than that, The hispanics will do about 500'000 PPV's, Diaz's team know this and would not have settled for that sum, Marquez is smart and very good in business too, What has been released is just a guide figure..:good

In all fairness i guess those may just be provisional sums not accounting for %'s for other rights and advertising and endorsments etc etc i guess nobody really knows probablynot even the boxer themselves
