Considering the farcical situation Andre Ward is in I felt sorry for his opponent who is a 168 fighter being picked as a tune up to fight at 175 for probably little money and on short notice against a fighter ranked top 3 P4P.

Can anyone list any other world class fighters who have abused their position by making the opponent with little value from a weight division below move up and be at a severe disadvantage.

Garcia/Salka tops the list in my lifetime. Joe Calzaghe had one just before he fought Lacy.

Good example. It was for a 154 trinket. Think there was a catchweight of 152 or something. Canelo didn't even make that and the fight still went ahead.
