I would like to commend the fighters that have never resorted to using dirty tactics in the ring. Excessive holding doesn't count as a dirty tactic.

Mikkel Kessler was a clean boxer, a fearless warrior in the ring (a road warrior at that) and a real nice guy outside the ring too. Genuine nice not fake nice.

Can't recall seeing Crawford do anything dirty

Excessive holding not a dirty tactic? Really? It's against the rules and its use is one of the major problems in boxing.

    Pacquiao
GGG (except for the time he accidentally hit Lemeiux while he was down)
    Donaire
    Patterson

Can anyone remember ever seeing Sergio Martinez doing anything dirty? He always seemed like a class act. Don't think I've seen Loma or Crawford do anything yet, but they are still young. I can't picture Arturo Gatti low blowing or elbowing. Some guys just seem to have a code of ethics and no sneakiness to their game. Unfortunately, these guys aren't usually the top of the heap. Because Mayweather, Ward, Rigondeaux are nothing if not sneaky opportunists.

Excessive holding isn't dirty in the sense that it doesn't cause harm to an opponent.

Since so many of the clean fighters seem to be known as exceptionally nice guys outside of the ring,it begs the question ,"Do the fighters that use dirty tactics have a moral flaw?"
