I remember Leonard talking about filming the commercial, saying he was a little worried given Roberto’s behavior prior to their first fight - but Duran was a perfect gentleman and their kids got along great.

Henry Cooper had a short cameo in The Plank (it depicts the humorous misadventures of two workmen trying to transport a single plank across town to their building site).

I just skimmed through it, quite the who’s who of British comedy greats - including Arthur Lowe of the old Dad’s Army.

Unless they’re setting it in the same time frame (Million Dollar Man first aired 1973) they’d want to at least move with inflation/indexing - otherwise it’d be like Dr Evil’s “behind the times” extortion gag.

Today Col. Austin would be worth about 40 Mil odd.

They never did give a cost invoice (parts and labour) for his female counterpart, The Bionic Woman, Jaime Somers. Probably because it’s like how a woman never reveals her age…. nor her repair costs.

Imagine Jaime and Steve in the sack? There would’ve been a lot of “give away” electronic “bionic” sounds let alone the fact that they could’ve seriously hurt/damaged one another.

Dr Rudy Wells be like “Gee, not another hard “session” Steve? Money doesn’t grow on trees you know. Dial it back a few notches will ya?!.”

That’s excellent - one I didn’t catch back in the day.

Yes - lots of familiar faces who probably weren't pulling down massive paychecks at the time so they were within the show's budget.

LOL. My crush was Samantha in Bewitched. Beautiful woman. Quite a powerful yearning actually, even though it was many years before I even hit adolescence. Sorry to digress…..can’t think of any fighters who appeared on her show.
