Which fighters do you think are or were underrated due to the lack of competition in the era, in which covered how great they are or were. Let me just reiterate it can be any era in boxing. For me Wladimir Klitschko (manny steward version not pre manny) is one name that come to mind, while others think sure he gets alot of respect I look at it more like will he be forgotten say in the next 15 years due to the competition? this could very well happen especially if some Tyson esque heavy comes during that span because some fans seem to forget quickley how good or great a boxer was due to the current. I believe he would hold his own in any era not saying he would beat a prime ali prime, tyson etc (I believe he will not by the way) I just feel he would make it very competitive and even beat some of the top guys in the strong heavyweight era's. With that said what are some of you guys thoughts?

    Ivan Calderon

At his best, he was a very special fighter (one of the best defensive fighters and pure boxers I've ever seen), but he lacks a win over a great fighter or a borderline great fighter. Now, he's slipping pretty fast and he's starting to become more and more succeptable to pressure.

I did a thread a couple months ago titled "Would Wlad survive the 90s", I think the most common response I got was Wlad would be a title holder, but not one of the dominant champs. His chin is still very weak, it's just been collecting dust because of the light punching competition he's been fighting lately, goes like Austin, who should of never even been in the ring with Wlad that night, Brock average power, and Bryd below average power, Brewster didnt even connect with a solid punch.

Wlad would be a huge target, if plodding slow handed fighter like Peter could put him on his ass 3 times, what do you think guys like Bowe, Lewis, Tyson, would do to him? Even guys like Tua, Bruno, Mccall, Ruddick, Morrison, and a young Mercer would be a 50/50 of knocking out Wlad IMO.

Roy Jones Jr., Larry Holmes, Wladmir Klitschko. They aren't ignored but there will always be questions because of the lack of competition.
