I'm suprised everyone is saying Tito and no one is saying Oscar. Oscar was physically ruined by Hopkins, a shadow of himself.

Bernard takes a lot out of fighters mentally. Sometimes getting schooled for 12 rounds is worse than getting starched as well. Bernard gets in guy's heads before the fight even begins.

He didn't ruin Taylor, Taylor just matched up very well with the aging Bernard at 160, Taylor would have never beaten a top notch pressure fighter or puncher. He also didn't ruin Johnson, he fought a fairly bad version of Johnson and he only got better from there, thats the polar opposite of the examples you are fishing for. Winky was well above his natural weight and past it somewhat when he stepped in the ring with Hopkins, and still gave a good account of himself, Hopkins certainly didn't ruin him.

Hopkins ruined Taylor mentally. After the fights with Hopkins, Taylor's confidence was never the same and his killer instinct was basically gone despite putting Pav down. I think pre-Hops Taylor would've finished Pavlik.

The WRight v Hopkins fight exposed Wright for having a lack of discipline ... he was eating Crispy Creames ... and he was fighting way above his natural weight class. He was chasing money ... if he were a true pro he would've still been dominating 154 and would've fought Oscar and Floyd ... it wasn't like he couldn't make the weight anymore.

he ruined a lot of guys. you can't put pavlik in that group, though. we haven't seen enough of the guy since to know for sure. i really, really don't think pavlik is ruined. not at all. we'll be sure after the martinez fight, though.

Actually, Eastman lost to Miranda by way of a pretty shitty stoppage.

Joppy's career after Hopkins was and is a punchline. By which I mean, elites are lining up to punch him. :yep
