The fight may have been postponed. I think Bute was coming off knee surgury and that effected him late in the fight. His mobility and stamina were compromised
As some have pointed out...Jermaine Taylor seems to be gassing out before 12 rounds...how on God's green earth could he had made it to 15??? Are there any other fighters who'd have troubles with 15 rounds? Some mentioned Oscar may have had troubles with Tito with 15. I find it terribly strange how some fighters in the past could have gone 40+ rounds in the blistering sun, yet, Jermaine Taylor fades before 12? Would going back to 15 be a good thing?
Frank Bruno would've had some serious problems if the Oliver McCall fight had been scheduled for 15. He was dead-tired in the 12th. I doubt we would see some serious change in pace and strategy if the fight had been scheduled for 15, the fight was already slow paced anyway.
Fighters would train and fight at a pace for 15 rounds. Then again most fighters train a couple extra rounds to be in best shape possible.
Leonard Hearns? Most likely Hearns would have won. Rocchigiani would have knocked out Maske, damn I would have like that. Rocky was cheated in that fight. If Holyfield would have fought at HW in the 15 round era, he would be dead by now.
There wouldn't have been any controvery about the ending to Chavez-Taylor I. JCC was a fighter who would have been very well suited to 15-rounders. Rocky Juarez might actually win a significant fight.
Kessler was clearly wobbling on a few occasions during the last two rounds. Froch was fresher by that time, so I too think he would've KO'ed Kessler
Yes indeed, in his second Ruiz fight, he was clearly holding on being in trouble. The championship rds in that fight were really a masterpiece with regards to Johnny :good
A 15 rounder for Juarez only means his opponents would have more rounds to win basically. The guy is a ****in' sloth, he should be banned for frustrating boxing viewers with his anemic will to win big fights.
