Rahman was actually supposed to fight a soft touch in David Izon, but Lennox sued him and Rahman had to give him a rematch.

I would still say he "cashed in" though. He got a huge payday in the Lewis rematch, even if not as much as he would've made for fighting Tyson.

Kevin McBride after beating Mike Tyson. Sure Tyson was old and shot, but the last guy (Danny Williams) who had beaten Tyson got a title shot against Vitali Klitschko.

    Nate Campbell against Juan Diaz.

poor nate, he had 2 or 3 years at the most at the top given his age and they were wasted in contractual disputes, cancelled fights and weight issues

I hate the "cashed-in" part of this thread. I have a few good examples I wanna use but can't lol.

Gerrie Coetzee finally wins a belt on the third try against Michael Dokes, then sits out for 15 months before losing to Greg Page. I know, he tried to cash in with a Holmes fight...

Alex Povetkin won his title-eliminator vs. Eddie Chambers THREE YEARS AGO and still hasn't cashed in on it.

    Henry Clark,,,,,,,,,,1974

The guy finally beats '3' good fighters in a row, all bombers in 1974.
    Jeff Merritt
    Mac Foster
    Roy Williams

He should have gotten a title shot over both Ron Lyle and Chuck Wepner.

Then they made him fight Earnie Shavers,,,,,,
