Hey what fighters did you dislike at first but overtime you seem to respect them and maybe even became a fan of theirs For me its Carl Froch I will first start off about what I disliked about him (and still do to a certain extent) -Slow ugly technique -Ego (Which I could not stand at first but became one of his lead attributes) -The fact that he beat Taylor  But what made me respect and some regards like as a fighter is despite all that he has -Never been knocked out, even though his fighting style its almost a given it could happen at any moment -Always fought the best in they prime, and never ducked anybody -Always confident and never discouraged (he lost to Ward in the biggest fight of his career then turns -around and possibly has the best win of his career against Bute -Travel in the opponents back yard most of his big fights -Has a no-nonsense you hit me I hit you back attitude real oldschool That said England you have a damn good fighter and should ride with him until he retires if he fights the rest of his career in England I wouldn't be mad at him respect.
i couldnt stand floyd mayweather with some of his antics in pre fight press confrences (de la hoya and hatton in particular) but after really watching him i couldnt have more respect for the guy a complete perfectionist
Manny Pacquiao. I travelled to Vegas as a big Hatton fan and my boy lost, Hatton retired so i found myself following Pacquiaos career. I thought he had no chance against Hatton at 140lbs, Hatton had never lost there and got KTFO.
Mauricio Herrera I was really angry after the Robberys against Provodnikov and Dallas Jr. But then... The Alvarado-Fight. What a heart! Great Chin, great combinations... Wow. Now, i am a fan.
Carl Froch You nailed it. Loud, Egotistical and ugly technique. He has to have one of the best resumes of the past few years. Dude is a huge draw at home and still offers to go fight at other dudes backyards. Very rare in these days.
Carl Froch. I used to hate him with a pashion, but over the past year he's definitely grown on me. I can't call myself a fan of his, but I don't dislike him either. I was really pissed off when he was talking all of that trash about Taylor, but ended up comming from behind to knock Taylor out when he needed to. I never liked his ego and the way he portrayed himself, but I really liked the way he handled himself after the Andre Ward loss. He was honest, humble, and very straight forward with no excuses. Froch is one of the few fighters out there today that really mean it when he says he'll fight anyone and his record backs that up. He has a crowd pleasing style and will take on the best. Not much more you can ask from a fighter.
Back in the day... Lennox Lewis. (I was younger & a "Bowe" guy) ^sorta like the youngsters today with the PAC/May thing.
