I find this thread rather bemusing. Has anyone who considers it being embarrassing laid out by a jab actually ever received one? It's the shots you don't see coming that do the damage and a jab is certainly one of them.
And the jab is generally the lightest of punches one can throw. I agree with you on principle, but it´s still kinda embarrassing. It´s the most common punch in boxing, and rarely does anyone get KO´d by it, but it happens. I do however think that in those cases the ones landing the jab should be applauded. It´s rather hard to land a perfect shot like that. Of course there are freaks like Kovalev who have ridiculously heavy hands. And then there was Hagler who would jump through the air like a mad man and land that jab with full force.
This might be the most important boxing video of all time Maybe as essential as a No Mas compilation 18 + minutes of JTFO KOs and JTFO KDs Amazing!
Underlines how great prime Kovalev's jab was - he was obviously shown to be vulnerable to the body in his decline, but at his peak no one could get past that power jab to exploit it!
