i remember rocky balboa saying something like "i just want to go the distance". we cant all be good fighters, jeez i know first hand that we cant all be even decent fighters, so i give alot respect to guys that relate to the fictional rocky. i believe that it is very admirable as it is humbling to hear a man knows his shortcoming but is will to face literally imminent danger.

was there an instance that you where impressed with a fighters courage in going the distance?

Camacho against Chavez. Camacho took a sustained spanking in that one. Not a soft-hearted parental spanking either. A dominatrix Wendy is on PCP spanking. Which may explain why Camacho tried to glove Julio Cesar's bum at some point.

Anyway, also impressed with Ward and Gatti going the distance with each other three times.

It could have, though. Zeljko had an inch on old Joe, moved well, wasn't a bad infighter and had a pretty good chin. :think

Mike Spinks, it was actually a fight in which he won, against Holmes the first time, Spinks was doing well, and i think around round 10 Holmes started sto slam Mike's mid-section with massive right hands, chopping on him, even though i knew the outcome i was like '**** how's he gunna make it to round 15?', but he came back and showed immense heart. 15 rounds is something that i'd love to be in boxing now, not good we only have 12. It was like you felt for Spinks, and watching him succeed after them body blows from a bigger man was just great.
