    Joshua Clottey vs Margarito

    Danny Jacobs vs GGG

AJ vs Usyk the second time. He actually improved and made it a decent fight where I expected him to be completely embarrassed in the rematch… even if he embarrassed himself in the post fight.

    Maidana vs Floyd

Donaire vs Inoue… Hard to imagine Inoue beating him in his real prime, even with all the hype.. I get he was having a “second prime”, but he was still not as good as he was in his hey day before he became a little too reliant on his power.

Was a true warrior in that fight. He made me proud in the rematch too.

He was great in both fights, I'm just not completely sure he won the 2nd.

I wasn't sure watching it the first time if he'd beat Bowe, it was so close, but I cheered like mad when they announced he'd gotten the decision.
    He deserved it imo.

Holy did great, I only had Bowe ahead one point. I thought for sure they'd give it to Bowe because it was so close.

Speaking of which, whatever happened to Mavrovic? He showed toughness, grit, and a chin against Lewis and looked like he could give a lot of heavies a tough go of it, but then he never fought again.

    He got sick.

He’s okay now but it ended his career.

Some sort of disease to do with the muscles.

Eubank Sr. V Calzaghe and Thompson, 1 and 2. Nigel Benn was 'my guy' in my youth and I could not abide Eubank. I detested his posturing, and his claims to 'hate boxing', which I always felt were disrespectful at best and lies at worst, but man, those losses told me much more about the man than many of his wins. They showed he was a real fighting man, and, if he truly 'hated boxing', he loved fighting. An absolute warrior of a man whose wish, if my memory serves me well, was to be remembered by others as someone who would always get up even when they knew they could not win. And there we go, I'm tearing up writing this and remembering the instant effect these losses have had on my abiding memory of the man.
