What fighters liked and disliked Larry Merchant i personally like Merchant he asks the questions most boxing fans would like to ask but some fighters find him irritating.

A dead man talks louder than ol'Larry!

I don't think Floyd Mayweather likes him too much!

I much prefer Max Kellerman, not afraid to ask more difficult questions - the Wlad interview was a good one after the embarrassment against Ibragimov.

Beeston, i'm sorry but that is a ridiculous thing to say. Max models himself exactly after Merchant's hard-questioning persona. Max is awesome, i totally think he's the right man for the job, and i hope he's here for a long time. but if you think Larry would not have asked the same pointed questions i just dont' think you've seen many of his interviews.

Zab said on an espn video that he hates him. because he asks dumb questions He said Merchant asked does Cotto hit hard. And he wanted to tell him look at my face. It also had rampage on it

    Gotta give Zab that one.

I'm not as fond of Merchant interviews as I am of his fight commentary. There's nothing like Lampley trying to wax poetic about tactics while Larry sips his martini and drones about how bored he is.

That whole "Larry in Bangkok" conversation on the Pacquiao - Marquez undercard was priceless.

At one time James Toney hated Merchent, but when he started to fight on Showtime more, his hate was more directed towards Jim "I'm gay" Gray, in which he knocked the mic at of his hand at one point, and went to after him, it was either after the Holyfield or Ruiz fight.

I'm pretty sure there is no love lost between RJJ and Larry....One of my favorite moments was when RJJ put the old ***** in his place

Yeah, I remember that. Honestly Roy was a little too excited there, but he's a natural on the air.

Butterbean hated Merchant. He felt that Merchant didn't respect and didn't cosider him a legitimate fighter.

Hopkins had/has sort of a love/hate relationship with Merchant.

I cant see why people dont like Larry Merchant he tells it like it is and while he can be annoying and patronising when knocking fighters who are boxing rather then brawl he cant expect every fight to be like barrera-morales, I always thought Toney liked Merchant.
