Fighters that looked terrible but were good fighters.

Sam Soliman has a unique style based on crazy angles and being as awkward as possible for opponents. Yet he won national and commonwealth titles and had a couple of tilts at world titles. Sam also gave Winky Wright a much better fight than the judges scored it.

 

Paul Williams, not terrible, but considering that he managed to be elite P4P with not much more than a usually iron chin, stamina, and a little head movement. His heart, offensive willpower/balls, and therefore offensive output made him great.

Antonio Margarito was, now we know why and now he's just bad

 

Hopkins how? sure he can be ugly to watch sometime because of his tacktics/rough housing.
But outside of that the man is like a walking textbook on how to throw almost any punch with perfect technique and great balance.

James has always had one of the most beautiful and pure boxer styles in the game. He's one of the few who make a true art out of fighting.

If anything, he looked bad in his last couple fights, but then again he's just not that good of a fighter anymore.

 

Vitali has an ugly boxing style. Ugly but very effective. He knows how to adjust the distance, as a tall man he knows how to box tall like no other - I give him props for that. But I can barely watch his fights.

 

Firat Arslan. tends to be one dimensional and to punch weak, but managed to be world champion

 

Froch looks like hes swimming when he throws shots yet has had a good career.

Calzaghes punches looked awful at times,yet he had an amazing career.

This guy was mostly effective in the ring vs the opposition he fought, but his technique was awful, defence was shoddy, and even in victory he often looked amateurishly ****:

Thats hilarious... has any other fighter gotten this many stoppage victories over people he did not even remotely hurt or in some cases did not even punch cleanly at all?

I love how he just windmills and hits absolutely nothing but air and gloves and yet the ref thinks its time to stop it.

 

Vitali looks so awkward and weird in the ring, like a giant robotic spaz.

It works for him though I guess.

 

Abeko to me looked bad his last outing but managed to make a great fighy
