Victor Ortiz got beaten up by Maidana, moves up to Welter has a great fight with Berto then made a fortune against Mayweather and now mentally shot.

Joe Calzaghe finally was getting recognised in his local corner shop after getting a close W over BHop then retired one fight later to become a background dancer on BBC tv.

Riddick Bowe, heavyweight challenger, becomes the heavyweight champ, starts drinking fizzy drinks cannot maintain the championship despite being one if the most talented.

Bowe lost the wrong kind of hunger. I think he's the best example; an all-time great for one fight.

Oscar becoming a promoter during his in-ring career made me doubt his commitment to fighting, and he was about as successful as it gets at that point.

Buster Douglas became the biggest name in the sport and then immediately got fat and lazy, losing in his first title defense.

Leon Spinks fought with desperation to dethrone Ali, and never reproduced that effort.

Victor Ortiz, guy has some quality tools but the heart of a mouse, to me this is because he grew up with nothing and has now made millions and thinks why bother now.

James Toney just such a lazy ****er so much talent and while he had a great career it could have been much better plus his steroid use has badly tainted his legacy.

David Haye the man was an amazing CW when he was coming up he showed so much ability but then he went up to HW and became all about the celebrity lifestyle and not bothered with fighting anymore despite his talent.
Mike Tyson clear example as a kid a force of nature hungry for success then when he got it he stopped working hard training and doing all the things that got him there.

ODLH started get more interested in building GB promotions and other ventures instead of his fights toward the end of his career.

    Zab Judah
    Riddick Bowe
    Roberto Duran
    Hector Camacho
    Jack Dempsey
all these are also good examples imo

I wouldn't but Rigondeaux in this list.

Top 10 P4P fighter who beat a top 5 P4P fighter lopsidedly and is still looking to test himself against optimal competition.

The only thing holding him back is promoter issues. :-(

No not Rigo, but the likes of Solis and Perez, possibly Gamboa? Its more promotional issues with him but even at that he hasnt looked the same in his last few fights.

Pavlik's hunger was replaced by thirst.

    Thirst for liquor.

The Fighting Pride of Newbridge Wales is not in the discussion here.

He achieved success when he defeated Chris Eubank then he had 23 further fights after that winning every one in decisive fashion, including ruining American heroes Jeff Lacy and Roy Jones, beating prime Kessler, and bending over Bernard Hopkins and butt ****ing him in the middle of the ring.:lol:
