SRL....against Hagler RJJ...against James Toney Holyfield...against Tyson James Toney...against Michael Nunn BHop...against Tito Trinidad Pacman...against MAB (1st fight) Donaire...against Vic Darchinyan
Augustus. He may not be the best fighter out there, but he does some incredible things in the ring that you don't see anyone else do.
I have to agree with the others. RJJ knocking out Glen Kelley with a hands behind the back before unleashing the right to the temple is a highlight for the ages. Ragardless of whether Kelley is a tomato can or not.
Salvador Sanchez v Wilfredo Gomez both fighters made me go wow ... Tito made me go wow ... especially in his fight v Joppy RJJ made me go wow ... Pacquiao makes me go wow ... Cotto makes me go wow ... Tyson made me go wow ... Sweet Pea made me go wow ... PBF, SRL, Hearns, and DLH as well ... I really go wow off of good boxing skills as well ...
All fans try and find the fight between Salvador Sanchez v Wilfredo Gomez and Buddy McGirt v Sweet Pea Whitaker ... these are throw back fights and great boxing. Sanchez v Gomez was killin Gatti v Ward ... ultimate slugfest with blood ... Gomez was undefeated w/ an impressive KO ratio ... Sanchez was also undefeated and more of a boxer who throws alot of punches. At the end of the fight I was wondering how Gomez survived -- both of his eyes were shut ... he was bloody and still fighting back it went 15rds. McGirt v Whitaker was an ultimate boxing match and superb boxing skills on display. Both boxers showed great fundaments and was punching accurate as hell -- all on the inside. It was amazing!!
If there's one fighter that made/makes me go wow, it's Roberto Balado http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=55182 Dances like Ali, counters like roy jones and has the handspeed of a welterweight. Can't watch enough of this guy NB.: I have to add that he was an olympic/amateur boxer though. No pro.
Ali vs. Cleveland Williams was the first fight I actually saw, when I was about 10 years or so, my father made me watch it and told the story about Ali changing his name, and that ****ing amazed me how brutally he battered Williams.. ever since that day I thought boxing was more than just a sport.
Sugar Ray Leonard win over hearns had a WOW factor. Cotto when he destroyed Quintana I was very impressed. Mosely at 135 was WOW! Mayweather's performance vs. Hatton had some WOW appeal!
I think the Latino's name is Freitas (sp?)...you know, the one that said he was sucking his mom's tit milk 'till he was 5 yrs old. When I herad that, I had to say WOW!!!
