Hagler was a special case He didnt have to move up He fought everyone nonetheless. Problem with other guys is that they might have missed a fight with some of the great fighters a class below or above them. Prime example is Hamed. Tzyu I think could have fought Mosley, Forrest, all these guys. Not familiar with Joe too much, didnt know he was supposed to be Godlike until I joined ESB
Hamed started at 112 and won titles up to 126 you moron. Have a clue about the fighter you're hating before deciding to hate him.
Yes, Hagler was a special case, and it was unfortunate (for instance) that Tszyu didn't fight all those guys (Mosley, Forrest...). This is what I mean.
Well yes, that makes sense, but you should have presented your thread more quizzically and respectfully, rather than dismissing warriors like Hagler,Monzon,Saad Muhammed etc as boring. Perhaps speculated as to how they would have done, against whom, and why they failed to try etc.Moral of the story?;dont alienate or annoy people with your maiden post:good Sorry about the idiot bit though, just that"They are BORING"sounds like Borat
ok, and how do it sound to you Juan Manuel Marquez-Joel Casamayor at 135? Or Manny Pacquiao-David Diaz also at 135? Or Israel Vazquez-Chris John at 126? Thats not boring.
Understood..I also belive that he could have beaten the best..Anything with hamed is 50/50 even with the great ones...because of his power and awkward style..unfortunately you cant call his Heart underrated
I think he has the most appropriate nick here. He's very NEW to boxing obviously and judging from his posts, thinks he knows a bunch already. Lame...
Yep,a lot of great fights could have been made by fighters moving up,but other great ones too if a fighter had stuck around;Oscar vs tzyu if Oscar had stayed at 140 for example. or What if Hagler moved up in 1984 and didnt fight Hearns and Mugabi.2 lost classics for Hagler. But you are,in the main, correct;it does make for great fights when SOME fighters move up and SOME stay put,as my Hagler example shows.:good
