    Wouldn't call it a bad decision but Johnny Famechon felt he got dudded against Vicente Saldivar and called it quits.

    Marlon Starling dropped a close, either-way decision to Blocker and then retired.

    Joey Archer retired after losing a hotly disputed 15 round decision rematch to Emile Griffith.

    Andreas Kotelnik eventually after getting screwed against Devon Alexander. Although I think injury played a part as well.

    Not quite the same thing, but Freddie Gilroy beat Johnny Caldwell in an eliminator for Jofre's title before retiring in anger and on a point of principal when Solomons and the BBBC tried strong-arming him into a rematch rather than follow through on their promise to purse a fight with Jofre. I think Gilroy was angered too by the way the media portrayed the first fight as a North-South grudge fight and the political opportunism that sprung from it when in reality Johnny and he were good mates who wanted nothing to do with the fighting.
