Looking at the incredible decline of Roy Jones got me thinking, which other fighters are now so horribly shot that letting them continue to fight runs the risk of something tragic happening.

Obviously Evander Holyfield ought to retire. They ought to ban him from fighting for him own sake. I am almost certain that Holyfield will end up a drooling punch-drunk wreck.

Wayne McCullough. His heart is so ****ing big that he's likely to end up getting really badly hurt if he carries on. His chin is too good for his own good.

Corey Sanders. Anyone who weighs in at 358lbs is NOT in physical shape to compete as a top level athlete anymore. Look what happened to Bradley Rone.

Ricky Hatton? Now I'm not 100% on this, but he takes so much punishment, even in fights that he wins, that he could very well end up a wreck if he continues. He's a very old 29, thats for damn sure.

Roy should be allowed to fight, no doubt.

Agreed, but it's his choice in the end.
I doubt he'll be fighting anyone that will bash his brains in, besides, he's not near punch drunk at all.

Totally agree, he's blind in 1 eye.

His lifestyle is more likely to kill him than damage from boxing.

Future prospect: Michael Katsidis. I will get lots of **** for saying that but do you see that guy after his fights? Wait until he fights someone elite....I absolutely love the guy and he's fun to watch, but man does he take some serious damage due to his style

i hope we've seen the last of graham earl. among all mentioned above, i'd really like holyfield to retire now. i think this extra stretch in his career is hurting his status in the long run. instead of being remembered as a great fighter, which he is, he'll more likely be remembered as someone who should have called it quits long before he actually did

Yup. I said something along those lines a while back. He's exciting and a fan friendly fighter, but his style is not meant for the long term.....

So does this mean that the potential fight with Diaz would've ended with Katsidas being crushed?..I've heard mainly good things about Katsidas..however if he does not know how to protect himself or move laterally he would be Juans personal pinball machine

Diaz would unfortunately completely mangle Katsidis's face :!: . While Diaz lacks power, he certainly does not lack the ability to throw 100 punches per round and put together amazing combos. Katsidis has an unsurpassed heart and "drive" however, so I think he makes it to the end of this fight (unless its stopped on cuts, which is certainly possible). I would go 117-111 UD for Diaz. Would be an AWESOME fight to watch though and I would love to see it, even though one of my favs would get tortured :? . He has such good power at any point in time that you can't count him out though.....

Thanks mate..I'm just trying to remember if Juans actually been hurt?? He's been in with good punchers before..even the Jose Cotto fight(arguably his toughest test to date) he threw over 120 punches in the 12th round!!!!Honestly I don't think anyone can stop Juan at 135..or 130...or 140...Come to think of it I would pay 1000 bucks to see Juan bounce Malignoggis head around the ring for as long as Malignoggi could take it:good

 I would like to see that too. I have never seen Diaz hurt either, but I have no doubt that Katsidis would be the strongest man he has ever faced. Just remember though; the boxer typically wins against the brawler. Would be a helluva fight though :yep

Ty Fields ... they're moving him up too fast.

Gomez, Danny Williams, Tua, Toney, Frez O ... they can't work out if they are actually boxers or not. Time to pull the plug on these guys unless they do something meaningful soon..

Mike Tyson should've been banned for life after biting Holyfield's ear.
