    I don’t think any of the capable boxers he fought were “scared” of him, lots of them would say things like “he’s just another guy trying to hit me” they’re probably sanely alert and wary but to say a pro boxer is in a cowardly sense afraid is plain insulting.

    As Cus says fear is fire watch Dempsey-Willard for this in motion picture. He was afraid, in a different way he wasn’t a deer in headlights he was a cornered jungle cat with one choice.
