your right. At the time there was some hope that Hector could turn the clock back like Ray Leonard had done with Hagler but no. As fans we had those memories of Camacho in his prime and it was a sight. Peak vs Peak Hector might beat him but I`m not sure.

While I certainly agree with the overarching point here, I've read some stuff that suggests that he wasn't nearly as merciless with Patterson as it would seem on the surface. Take that as you will, there's always multiple sides to the story, but I think the interview here is somewhat convincing.

But the ref let it go on. Patterson was perplexed. Floyd said later that he'd never been hit with such soft punches."
