I would maybe throw prime Foreman in here. Just with the way he shoved opponents off, applied his sheer physical strength. I don't think he had the greatest chin, but it was still good. Obviously post-prime, Foreman would be nowhere near this discussion, as he was far easier to discourage.
Gentleman George Foreman. For sure. Ugh. Freaking tank. The irresistable force AND the immovable object. You ran from him and prayed your gas tank held out.
In his second career he was Frankenstein's monster in there. Just kept on coming and never losing his cool. That's why I don't think he'd be good news for Tyson. I just can't see Mike being effective when forced back and bullied around like that.
Moon stood up to Khaokor's drubbing. Chang did hold on and slow the pace down or use his hard to gauge movement to buy himself time. Probably more that his lack of conditioning in certain fights allowed his opponent back into the fight more. But on his last legs under fire from Chiquita he could only get close to try and spoil-swarm his way to victory and was getting beaten to the punch all night and kept trying, and against a dangerman like Kittikasem he was always trying to finish. Very early on he had to go limpet style after being clipped so I'd say, upper echelon but not on the shortlist of 'completely impossible to dissuade'.
Old Big George is a great shout. Hard to push a man back when his jab is enough to not just knock you off balance but will move you a few feet back.
I respect your opinion as always McGrain. Harada was indeed a bit smarter than that, yet he was of course the irrepressible buzzsaw who showed such skill and class in defeating the otherwise greatest bantam that ever lived in Eder Jofre...and he personified the kamekaze spirit....but with a certain refinement that puts him in a category beyond Marciano and Frazier.
Hardly fair to dismiss him on that IMO. I'll say Mike Spinks got his respect and dismiss him on that instead
He looked like a soft, cuddly toy but he was a wrecking ball. As a sidenote Magna did you ever glimpse Old Foreman's training? You've talked before about Lewis and Klitschko's training interested if you saw Foreman as well, given how damn fit he was for such a big older guy.
