How much further do you want people to go? When he got out of prison he was owned by St. Louis mobster John Vitale and even acted in various capacities as an enforcer for him. Later when he relocated to Philadelphia his contract was transferred to Palermo and Carbo. I personally believe that when Liston lost the title the mob washed their hands of him. His career fell apart, his big purses dried up, and the odds of him ever getting another title shot at big money were slim so there wasnt much need to have such a high profile fighter that likely cost more than he was worth with all the trouble he frequently got into. Factor in that after about 1960 the mobs influence in boxing was rapidly dwindling compared to where it was in the 1950s and you see that if Liston had ties to the mob after his title run they werent very deep or very important.

Really? Are you new to the sport? Look up MTK Global. Management company. Promotional company. Advisory company. Fury signed with them upon his return to the ring in 2018. Fury, Arum and Warren all spent years thanking Daniel Kinahan after fights. When the leader of a drug cartel and mob boss is helping you negotiate deals ...

It's the reason they're fighting these matches now in Saudi. That's where Kinahan fled when warrants went out for his arrest around the globe. Kinahan got them involved to finance.

That is good enough, thanks. I just said that because you don't find detailed informations too much....
There are not rumors about fixing fights with Liston though, is there ?

Dude. Do a simple web search. They've been writing articles about it for close to five years. The BBC did an entire televised special about it last year.

"the Mob" in Boxing is also a Corrupt & Bent Board, which is both victim & participants to the Powerful Money Brokers with HUGE Financial Interest & Investment, those Gangsters were a 'Mob' too, in Britain it was Solomon's & Co, to Duff and then Warren, Maloney, Hearn and obviously some smaller operators as well.

Germany a few years back was known for Robbed Decisions, so these goons are equally Mobsters though not necessarily criminals in the classic sense, but organized crime all the same.

But didn’t Fury do a ‘Frank Sinatra’ on him, and denied involvement with him?

Fury thanked Kinahan for years. The Furys were still involved with him to the point last year where the U.S. State Department didn't let Tyson Fury or his brother, Tommy, enter the U.S. And Tommy Fury's fight with Jake Paul had to be moved to Saudi.

Now, they're all fighting in Saudi where Kinahan pops up on film from time to time. Everyone's heading over.

you know more boxing than i do.

uk media refuses to cover orgaised crime, it's a disgrace.

the kinahan's are way past what you were looking for in a thread about 40's gangsters. it's being talked about now, i'm interested in what people have to say.

Ok I see what you're saying. What about Al Bummy Davis? Pretty sure he was affiliated with Murder Inc.
