I think that Lara is the only style who can trouble Floyd..someone who hit and don't get hit

well , maybe I've exaggerated a little with this big difference of rounds but definitely there is somebody at 154 / 160 right now that would K.O or dominate Floyd !:yep

indeed Oscar was a tough fight for Floyd but Oscar had all the advantages on his side in that fight , maybe less his prime peak to beat Floyd !

trout would imo dominate money. because he is the wrong style for him.

and i'm 1000% sure hearns would ko money at 147 and could dominate him also

I see Lara giving a hard night to Floyd too, due of his style @ 154 .

its only about the fighters from Floyd's era , excluded hearns , srr , duran etc

    - indeed I'm rooting for Trout against Canelo and Floyd. He has a good style and very good physical advantages to beat both IMO !:yep

ok but hearns would do a number on floyd imo.

trout is very underrated, good boxer with great physically advantages in that weight class. he is pretty fast, good boxer, good power and very good jab (thats floyds big problem) and very tall.

So why Floyd didn't fight with Vernon Forrest and PW if these guys were/are considered two of the most dangerous fighters from Floyd's era ?! I mean , Floyd likes to fight the best , no ?!

Didn't Forrest and P.W draw enough attention for the american boxing audience to have a fight with Floyd or they were seen as high risk and low reward fights for Floyd ?!:think

If you're referring to matchups that realistically could have been made then prime Tito, DLH and Forrest shouldn't be mentioned. These guys were all 2-3 weight classes above Floyd when the matchups could have been made.

That said, Margarito would have given him nightmares.

indeed you have right, when Forrest won the rematch against Mosley in 2002 ( retained his WBC and Ring ww titles ), Floyd was a lightweight ( the WBC and the Ring lightweight champ ) .

When Felix Trinidad beat Oscar for the ww IBF and the WBC titles ( 1999 ) , Floyd was a super featherweight fighter ( the WBC SF champ )

Same thing with a prime ww ODLH ( '98-99 ) , Floyd was a small SF.

so, yeah you have right about the weight categories and prime's ! :yep:good

Paul Williams when he won the first fight against Sergio ( 2009 ) was a jr MW and Floyd was ww and I think this fight could've been made at a CW but I think the real reason that this fight didn't happen was that P.W wasn't a big name enough to draw any attention and money ! At that time (2009-2010) Floyd fought with Marquez and Mosley , two big names .

So, now there are 2 good very risky fights for Floyd to solidify his legacy i.e Floyd vs the winner between Trout and Canelo and Floyd vs the winner between Martinez & Chavez jr rematch , all fights at 154 !
