It was almost comical - Roberto had a look of mused disbelief on his face, like "You flew all the way here for that? Are you kidding me? Move on!"

Corbett had some incredible ability, speed and toughness, but was an arrogant racist jackass that created myths that still persist to promote himself.

Naz, Eubank Sr, Broner, Calzhage. Great fighters, but could never warm to their out the ring personalities.

Ray Leonard- when he invited thousands just to hear him say he won't face Hagler? HBO-Legendary Nights- he said he took Marvin out to dinner...and based on what he felt was a non-motivated fading fighter, now he wants to fight him? Pure garbage move.
Took years to give Hearns a rematch. Sad, because I really loved watching him go from amateurs to pro. Thx Camacho!

Floyd Mayweather- because of him so many Broners are now talking this garbage about if the money is right.
$99 for a PPV? How many poor kids have never seen him fight...yet he plays the card. Great skills. And I dated a girl from Michigan who went to school with him..raw stuff she said about him toward's his girlfriends.

Pacman- used to like him as a person & fighter. But when he started talking God, can't stand needles, oh, wait it's my religion. And if its true that he didn't tell Roach personally he let him go ? Cowardly move. He's no Christ like person , that's a persona. If Arum wrings him dry...not sure if I'd care.

Bhop- one of my fav of all time fighters. But he has no sense of humor and his constant talk of race is faded. Calls out racism when he sees it...yet said he would never lose to a white boy. Loses to Joe C and got blasted... literally out the ring by another white Joe, how ironic for a departure.

I respect Oscar as a fighter, but can’t stand how fake he has always been, starting with his talk of wanting to be an architect, or wanting to retire before he turned 30, or even his tactics as a promoter.

Same with Ward. The whole SOG thing is so unnecessary. Hopefully he’s walked the walked and does so til the day he dies.

When most fighters end up in court, they shut up and let their manager do the talking, as far as possible.

When Corbett and his manger ended up on trial after the Sharkey debacle, his manager shut up as far as possible, and let Corbett do the talking.

    Let that sink in!

And when did that end ? - Unless you're talking about South Afica - well before (maybe 30-40 years) before the 1964 Civil Rights Act. (at least in the US).

Lennox lewis, no real reason to dislike him but I do, very dominate champion tho.

Andrew golatta, very skilled fighter, but about one of the dirtiest most dislikeable ones.

Jack Johnson, defensive wizard and honestly amazing in just about every department, but hated white men, as a white man I find this disheartening, and aided schmeling just to screw over joe louis.

Perfectfully put. It was cringeworthy. I seem to remember a chicken incident that was inaccurate. Please correct me if I'm wrong. However, Leonard is one of the greatest fighters I have ever seen but is one self serving, phony, egotistical blowhard.
