What are some fighters that define the term “style over substance”, mostly guys that look good, even amazing in some areas but just can’t seem to put it all together skill wise.

I’ll start with Adrien Broner, an obvious one. Who else?

I wouldn't put Hamed in that category. He lost his way at the end, he went from an awkward counter puncher to a guy who fell in love with his power and didn't put the work in and even then at the end he was still a world class fighter, problem was he had someone like Barrera to contend with. In another era Hamed probably would of remained undefeated for a lot longer.

I put guys like Amir Khan, Gary Russel Jr and Berto in this category, all flash no substance. On a lower level Ryan Rhodes was a fighter like this. Tried to be a bigger Hamed, but was out classed when he stepped up.

Surprised no one has mentioned Yuriorkis Gamboa. He's the very definition of all flash no substance. Supremely gifted but just a complete waste of talent who flushed his career away and didn't have the mentality to sharpen his technique.

James DeGale has recently been extremely frustrating in terms of lack of cynicism, resulting -as we all know- in the loss of his IBF title and his supposed reputation as a top SMW fighter.

Currently I think Ryan Garcia and Josh Kelly are more flash than substance.
I was thinking of including Teofimo Lopez but I'll reserve that judgement.
